Peruvian Palo Santo, Ritual

Peruvian Palo Santo, Ritual

Palo Santo Sticks (Bursera Graveolens), from Peru.

Ethically sourced from naturally fallen trees.

“Palo santo,” literally translates to “holy wood” in English. It is known as the 'Tree of Life'.

Palo Santo has long been used in ceremony to clear stagnant or heavy energy from a space, restoring a sense of lightness and calm. Its smoke is traditionally welcomed as a purifier — clearing the air and inviting in clarity, focus, and a settled mind. Many also turn to it simply for the comfort of its warm, woody scent during moments of stress or overwhelm.

A note on sourcing: most Palo Santo on the market today is over-harvested, cut from living trees rather than gathered from naturally fallen wood. We only stock Palo Santo sourced ethically — harvested from trees that have already fallen and died naturally, with the process supporting fair wages for the indigenous communities who steward this tradition. Choosing sustainably harvested Palo Santo helps protect both the land it comes from and the culture that holds its ceremonial use sacred.

Each bundle of three sticks weighs approximately 15g
