Empty Basin Tea Cake, Global Tea Hut

Empty Basin is a wonderful shou brick created by Master Lü Lizhen. It uses a blend of various leaf grades from Yiwu Mountain. He has a special relationship to the region, working with farmers there for decades. This brick is tightly compressed, so you will need a puerh knife to open it up. A little goes a long way. The tea is thick, rich and creamy with a deep and long-lasting flavor. The piling flavors are mild and will smooth out over time if you age some of these cakes. The Qi is soft and grounding. It is great for boiling, blending with other teas and steeping as well.
